Intervention, Inc., a Colorado non-profit, provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs), electronic monitoring, probation supervision and community corrections.

Title: Building Technician II
Location: Pueblo, CO
Starting Pay: $23.85 hourly 
Hours: M-F day shift (full-time)



OVERVIEW

Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition, and is in compliance with applicable zoning, building, fire and health codes.  

  • Support, promote and adhere to the mission, values and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc. 

  • Reflect Intervention Inc.’s commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information. 

  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations. 

  • Inspects facility for reported and unreported  maintenance issue  

  • Process and submits work orders to County and follows up to ensure work is completed timely and correctly. 

  • At least monthly, conduct a general inspection of the facility to assess current and future needs and to ensure compliance with local and state codes.   

  • Schedule, coordinate and record monthly fire drills. 

  • Ensure overall cleanliness and safety of the facility at all times 

  • Stock supplies daily or as needed in all utility closets and order supplies as necessary. 

  • Keep Program Director up-to-date on status of facility and grounds by reporting at least monthly on the facility’s condition, and status of current, completed and future projects and work orders.  

  • Maintain building, complete minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.  

  • Drives personal car to pick up supplies as needed 

  • Implement preventative maintenance measures 

  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies 

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol 

  •  Drive personal car to court, jail and/or other sites as required, including in adverse weather 

  • Attend required trainings and meetings, apply skills and knowledge. 

  • Regular and predictable attendance. 

  • Good steward of Company human, financial and capital resources. 

  • Participate effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving. 

  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

High school diploma or equivalent credential; and two years related experience and/or training in general maintenance 

QUALIFICATIONS   

  • Demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance techniques and standards for a commercial or residential facility. 

  • Computer skills -- Ability to enter data, generate reports and create basic communications from variety of software programs and databases 

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing 

  • Ability to remain calm in and de-escalate stressful situations 

  • Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.  

  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base. 

  • Must pass background check and have ability to access state criminal databases
 *Valid Colorado Driver’s License and proof of insurance REQUIRED*
