Intervention, Inc., a Colorado non-profit, provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs), electronic monitoring, probation supervision and community corrections.

 

Job Description

Are you looking to launch your career in criminal justice, social work, or law enforcement? Join our Intervention Inc. team as a Community Corrections Specialist. In this entry-level role, you will work directly within our residential transitional facility to help justice-involved adults successfully reenter the community.

What You Will Do (Day-to-Day Duties)

  • Monitor Facility Safety: Conduct routine rounds, headcounts, and building security checks.
  • Track Resident Compliance: Log resident movements, sign-ins, sign-outs, and curfew adherence.
  • Enforce Accountability: Administer routine urine drug screenings (UDS) and breathalyzer tests.
  • Maintain Records: Complete accurate logbook documentation and shift incident reports.
  • Support Reentry: Assist residents with facility guidelines, chore supervision, and resource access.

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong verbal communication and de-escalation skills.
  • Mindset: Ability to maintain firm, professional boundaries with residents.
  • Details: High attention to detail for precise legal and facility record-keeping.
  • Background: Must pass a standard criminal background check
