Title: Sobriety Services Technician (female)

*This is an entry level Criminal Justice position*

*No previous experience required!*

Pay: $17/hr (depending on shift differential)
Location: Greeley, CO
Hours: M-F 9:30am-6pm

 


OVERVIEW

Provides drug and alcohol sobriety monitoring of court-ordered offenders and other clients.

*Because this position requires direct observation of females submitting specimens for urinalysis, being female has been determined to be a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification and only females will be considered for the position.*

Bilingual Sobriety Service Technicians are required to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, including orally and in writing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support, promote and adhere to the mission, values and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc.
  • Reflect Intervention Inc.s’ commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations.
  • Sign in clients to conduct testing.
  • Escort clients to and from collection area.
  • Visually monitor Urinalysis testing of same sex clients.
  • Monitor testing of clients through urine screens, breathalyzer, and oral swabs.
  • Follow all policies and protocol on the collection of testing samples.
  • Complete all documentation/paperwork, Chain of Custody accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Accept testing fees, issue receipt to clients and secure payment in office safe.
  • Assist in processing and reporting all testing results.
  • Prepare incident reports, concisely, clearly and completely prior to the end of the shift.
  • File all paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate and interact professionally with all referral sources, staff and clients.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Take appropriate action to prevent or diffuse potentially disruptive situations.
  • Remain alert at all times and react quickly, effectively, and calmly in emergency and other high stress situations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of office, including public and non-public areas
  • Provide coverage outside of regular schedule as needed.
  • Drive personal car to court, jail and/or other sites as required, including in adverse weather
  • Attend all required trainings and apply skills and knowledge.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); OR one year customer service experience and/or training.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
  • Must pass background check and have ability to access to state criminal databases.
