Intervention, Inc., a Colorado non-profit, provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs), electronic monitoring, probation supervision and community corrections.

OVERVIEW

Ensure company compliance with all PREA Standards through developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures for all our community corrections facilities. Assists in monitoring and evaluating established performance fidelity measures for Evidence Based Practices.

  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values, policies and procedures, applicable laws and contractual obligations. 
  • Collaborate with management staff in assuring that facilities, program and services comply with the Community Confinement Standards of the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
  • Assist in compiling timely and accurate statistical information on operations and services related to PREA and fidelity measures for Evidence based practices
  • Develop, implement and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with PREA standards
  • Keep current on changes with PREA standards, implements changes as needed
  • Collect statistics on all events of and reports of sexual abuse or harassment
  • Complete annually the BJA Survey of Sexual Abuse
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate all required PREA audits with certified PREA auditor
  • Compile required information for public view via the Intervention website. 
  • Facilitate administrative investigations of allegations of sexual abuse.
  • In conjunction with facility Program Managers, develop and complete Corrective Action Plans as dictated by PREA Compliance audits.
  • Perform fidelity checks related to technical compliance with BSMART at all residential facilities
  • Complete performance measure reports as directed 
  • Assist in compiling timely and accurate statistical information on program operations and services.
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation of new practices, including training and coaching of staff and modeling desired behavior.
  • Develop and deliver targeted curriculum to meet the training needs of staff and contractors for all 
  • PREA related content, at start of their employment and annual refresher training for all staff.
  • Develop and provide regular internal and external reporting on a variety of core security functions, performance metrics, and fidelity measures related to Evidence Based Practice models
  • Develop positive relations with community resources such as rape crisis centers, victim resources, medical personnel, and local law enforcement.
  • Drive personal car to court, jail and/or other sites as required, including in adverse weather
  • Attend required trainings and meetings, apply skills and knowledge.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Good steward of Company human, financial and capital resources.
  • Participate effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving.
  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from accredited four-year college or university in criminal justice, social sciences, behavioral sciences or closely related field; and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
SKILLS
  • Computer skills -- Ability to enter data, create and generate complex reports, and create communications from variety of software programs and databases
  • Excellent presentation skills with proficiency in developing and presenting quality programs and materials that are adapted to various adult learning styles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado criminal justice system, community corrections, and relevant PREA standards and evidence-based practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in training individuals and groups
  • Ability to remain calm and de-escalate stressful situations
  • Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population. 
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
  • Must pass background check and have ability to access state criminal databases

Title: PREA Coordinator 
Location: Can be based out of Lakewood, Pueblo, or Greeley
    Must have ability to travel to facilities in Greeley, Boulder, Pueblo, Henderson, and Lakewood as needed
Pay: $56,493/yr
Hours: 40hrs/4-5days per week
