The mission of Behavioral Treatment Services is to 
provide accessible, integrated, and inclusive behavioral health services supporting clients throughout the criminal justice system. Behavioral Treatment Services provides a continuum of specialized adult offender substance abuse and other treatment modalities. Being a part of the BTS team means being a part of the forefront of Colorado’s behavioral health and criminal justice programs and initiatives. Our goals are to provide a space toward client healing, reduce criminal recidivism, assist clients in working towards personal growth, and collaborate with the system and client to work towards mutually agreeable goals.

BTS provides clinical services, court related services, and specialized programs for adults involved in the criminal justice system. BTS provides services at community corrections sites (including residential treatment programs), outpatient locations, jail based, and court liaison programs in 9 counties across Colorado.

OVERVIEW
Clinical Team Lead completes clinical responsibilities and provides administrative support to the management team, including providing task supervision to team members.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct substance abuse and mental health evaluations, client intakes, and assess the need for on-going treatment or referral to other agencies
  • Rotate with Clinical Manager weekly between the Boulder and Longmont locations for availability to staff
  • Maintain a 10 hour/week client caseload of groups and individual clients in specialized populations split between the Boulder and Longmont locations.
  • Manage and schedule referrals for intakes/evaluations when received (including scheduling specialized population within compliance standards of first contacts and mental health evaluations)
  • Provide back-up group coverage
  • Assist in collection of monthly statistics, for both auditing and billing purposes
  • Conduct peer run auditing of therapist files in group setting on a quarterly basis
  • Assist in the training of new hires and interns
  • Assist with the distribution and management of intakes and clinical evaluations
  • Facilitate weekly meetings and monthly peer staffings, as needed
  • Assist in task supervision of team members
  • Attend quarterly Team Lead meetings
  • ReliaTrax maintenance including vouchers, deleting documents, etc.
  • TMS monthly audits
  • Caseload audits
  • Performing related duties as assigned or required by Clinical Manager

  • Demonstrates competency in accordance with the 12 core counseling functions defined by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, counseling psychology, or a related human services field;
  • Registered in DORA;
  • Licensed clinician in respective discipline: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LPCC, Psychologist;
  • Three years direct clinical experience, to include working with clients involved in the criminal justice system;
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and ability to utilize effective interventions for those with mental illness and substance use disorders;
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Full time (40hrs/week) is required
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to balance administrative and clinical aspects
  • Some travel required between Boulder and Longmont locations and to Boulder County Court House locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience providing substance abuse treatment and understanding of addiction and the recovery process;
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Salary: $55,016 - $56,680/yr (based on licensure) 
Location: Golden
Some travel required for this position.
